Project Type
Accessory Dwelling Units
Some additions fight the architecture they’re asked to join. This one was designed to belong to it. In a historic neighborhood defined by Spanish Colonial character, we designed a lofted casita that honors the language of what already stands — warm stucco, arched forms, and carefully chosen details that pay homage to the streetscape without mimicking it. The lofted form maximizes the backyard footprint, creating generous living space for guests, extended family, a workspace, or rental income — whatever the moment calls for. Every choice was made in service of one goal: an addition that doesn’t announce itself. It simply belongs.
